Mrs. Smith's Nursery students reviewed colors, shapes, and parts of a butterfly while making a Valentine's gift for their parents.

In 5th grade literature class, students completed reading the Newbury Award Winning classic, Shiloh. Throughout the book, students took time to analyze characters, make connections to the text, and complete chapter comprehension pages. After completing the book, students enjoyed the mild weather and sat outside in a reading circle to discuss the conclusion and their thoughts on the book.

SHS was fortunate to have three very insightful presentations on Monday for Catholic Schools Week: The pre-k thru 1st grade enjoyed a presentation by Sherry Cirone, author and founder of Ella's Way. The children delighted in the reading of her book, "Ella & The All-Stars". Grades 2-4 were treated to a presentation by current parent and author, Mrs. Raquel Quezada. Mrs. Quezada is the author of "Breaking the Barriers of Disabilities."

Mrs. Daley and Mr. Wholley’s fifth grade classes donated care packages to the Haverhill Police Department as a service project. SHS parents, Sergeant Tiffany Clark and Detective Connor Clark of the Haverhill PD accepted the donations on behalf of the department and said that the officers would be very happy to receive them.

A huge thank you to Mr. Grady, Ms. Casey, Mrs. Eldridge, Mrs. Ziembo, and all the children for a spectacular Christmas Pageant! Everyone did an incredible job! Thank you for continuing this long-standing tradition that has become such a big part of the SHS community.

SHS Grades 7 & 8 Model UN recently participated in the "HillieMUN" at Haverhill High School and was very successful! Abby D'Agata-Lynch was awarded "Best Delegate", Madelyn Ahern received "Outstanding Delegate," and Olivia Magliocchetti, Lila McCrave, Lucia Cataldo and Meredith MacIver each received Honorable Mentions. Great job Model UN participants!
