The students in grades 5-8 researched and presented facts about their assigned country to the younger grades as well as parents during the event. The students had a lot of fun and learned so much about the different cultures around the world. Mrs. Bergeron's 4th Grade Library Students recently completed a project on historical figures. Some students chose to make puppets, while others made Head-In-Hole posters of their chosen figures. Each student presented their project to their class and described the person they chose. What a great way to learn about important people in our history!

The school play, Dear edwina Jr., was performed on April 28th and 29th. The students did a fabulous job; it was a big hit! We thank the students, Mr. Grady, Mr. DeLibero, and Mrs. Sullivan for all their work in making the play possible. Thank you to all who attended!

The 3rd grade held their annual re-enactment of the Last Supper on Monday, April 3rd. Fr John performed a reading, washed the feet of the 12 Apostles, and helped serve the bread and “wine” (sparkling grape juice) to the children. It was a wonderful way for the students to experience the Last Supper.

The entire school joined together to practice the liturgical music this past Friday. Music Director, Scott Ness, had the whole school singing enthusiastically and thoroughly relishing in the words. The school also celebrated Red Sox opening day and dressed in their best Red Sox attire!

The fourth grade students recently had a field trip to the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The children were in awe of the performance and loved every minute of it! We thank the Boston Symphony Orchestra for generously donating the tickets, and the Catholic Schools Foundation for giving our students the opportunity to attend.

Sacred Hearts School children were treated to a very special gym class by Yoga Instructor, and parent, Meredith Conte. Mrs. Conte is co-owner of Lotus Yoga & Mindfulness in Georgetown, MA and donated an entire day to teaching yoga here at SHS! Such a wonderful experience for the kids and we thank Mrs. Conte for everything!

The Early Childhood Center recently attended a magic show in the SHS gymnasium. "Tommy James Magic Shows" had the children laughing and eagerly participating in the show the entire time! He even brought a bunny that the children were able to pet on their way out. The children absolutely loved it!

On Wednesday, March 8th, the 5th grade Joined the Crew at the USS Constitution. Students simulated firing a cannon, rolling the hammocks, and swabbing the decks with a holy stone.

Our ECC students celebrated 100 days of learning. They’re 100 days smarter! The students dressed up as 100 year olds to celebrate the milestone! Everyone had fun showing their excitement for the milestone. Even the teachers and Mrs. Pettis participated!

Grade 6 modeled how viruses spread from person to person by sharing "bodily fluids" aka water mixtures in cups. Students mixed water with at least 2 other students. We started with 3 infected and ended up with 11 infected. We then put our detective caps to see if we could uncover the 3 original infected classmates. The children loved this hands-on experiment!
